The Ultimate Fighting Championship will host the mixed martial arts contest UFC 287: Pereira vs. Adesanya 2 on April 8, 2023, at the Miami-Dade Arena in Miami, Florida, in the United States.

The organization will return to Miami for the second time and for the first time since UFC 42 in April 2003 for the event. The main event is anticipated to be a rematch for the UFC Middleweight Championship between current champion Alex Pereira and previous champion Israel Adesanya. Pereira is a former Glory Middleweight and Light Heavyweight Champion. At their previous encounter, Pereira won the title by knockout in the fifth round at UFC 281. The two had previously competed against each other twice in kickboxing. The first took place in April 2016 and Pereira won it by a unanimous vote. Their second encounter happened at Glory of Heroes 7 in March 2017, and Pereira won by knockout in the third round.
